For growing service businesses that have outgrown "a bookkeeper and a tax guy," but aren't ready for a full-time CFO. One retainer gives you CFO-level financial leadership and proactive tax strategy together.
Book a Discovery CallYou run a growing service business that's outgrown a bookkeeper and a tax guy. Complexity matters more than revenue, though most of our clients run $1M+.
You're making real money but flying blind: no forecasting, no cash-flow visibility, no one telling you what the numbers mean.
Your accountant talks to you once a year and your bookkeeper records the past. Nobody is helping you plan the future.
You're facing something bigger than a return: a systems overhaul, a growth push, or planning your eventual exit.
Not sure you're big enough yet? Let's talk. The right fit is about your needs, not just your revenue.
Your tax strategy and your financial strategy live in one place, working together, so every financial decision is made with the tax impact already handled.
Cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling so you always know what's coming.
Clear monthly reporting on the numbers that actually drive your business, not just a P&L you don't have time to read.
A dedicated partner for the big decisions: hiring, expansion, equipment, pricing, distributions, exit planning.
Bookkeeping done right underneath it all, because CFO-level insight is only as good as the data beneath it.
Deep, hands-on expertise in healthcare, trucking, and construction, backed by public accounting experience.
A family-owned commercial contractor, in business since the 1940s and doing over $15M a year, brought me in to fix broken systems. One of the owners wanted out of a business that couldn't function without her. I built the plan that got her there, and I stayed on as their financial team.
They were running two payrolls by hand, corporate and field crews, with payroll cards written out manually. The monthly close dragged. A CPA firm sat on retainer just to keep the books usable.
I led the full systems overhaul end to end: a new accounting platform, a rebuilt chart of accounts, and a payroll system that replaced two hand-processed runs with one. The CPA firm on retainer became unnecessary; the work came in-house, where it belonged.
And the part that mattered most: I built the exit plan, compensation structure, buyout terms, and benefits transition that let one of the owners actually retire.
She was building someone else's business, and paying for the privilege.
Our client earned strong income through her management services organization (an MSO, the group that owned and ran the practice she worked in, common across MSO and DSO group structures in medicine and dentistry), spread across W-2 wages, K-1 distributions, and 1099 income. She paid real fees for that arrangement and owned none of what she was building. At the same time, she and her husband had carried a growing IRS balance for years with no real plan behind it, and she was navigating one of the hardest personal seasons of her life. She wanted out of the MSO and into a practice she truly owned, but she needed a roadmap first.
We started by giving her that roadmap. She launched her own practice in hormone replacement and fertility care, structured the right way from day one, so the income was hers and the asset was hers. Then we fixed the tax side: we analyzed every income stream, W-2, K-1, and 1099, built a real retirement strategy, coordinated entity-level planning around her new structure, and put a plan in place that replaced her yearly tax surprise with quarterly clarity. Along the way, we built a college savings plan for her daughter too.
Today she owns her practice, not the other way around. Predictable income, lower taxes, and a future she controls.
Back taxes, unfiled returns, notices, or a growing balance don't wait for a strategy session. We resolve the immediate issue first, then build the plan that keeps it from happening again.
It's often how our longest relationships start. Once we've gotten a client out of a real problem, they stay for the ongoing strategy, because trust like that isn't easily replaced.
Resolve My Tax IssueWe combine bookkeeping, tax strategy, and CFO-level guidance into one team that plans ahead, all year. That's the difference between having your taxes done and having a financial partner.
We learn your business, your numbers, and where you're trying to go.
We review your books, returns, and structure to find where you're overpaying and where you're flying blind.
Most clients come on as an ongoing CFO retainer. Others bring us in for one project: a systems overhaul, a cleanup, an exit plan. We recommend the fit that actually serves you.
Investment: scoped on your call, based on your business.
